17th Annual Phuket Bike Week 2011 Grand Opening
On April 9th 2011 in the evening the official opening ceremony of the 17th Phuket Bike Week 2011 was conducted by guests of honor Mr. Tree Akaradecha, Governor of Phuket Province presiding over the opening ceremony, Khun Pean Keesin, Mayor of Patong Municipality speaking and welcoming other honored guests such as Mr. Paiboon Upatising, the President of Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization, Mr. Chairat Sukban, Deputy Mayor of Patong Municipality, Mrs. Bangonrat Chinaprayoon, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Phuket office and many Thai and foreign guests.
In addition Mr. Tree Akaradecha, Governor of Phuket Province emphasized to all bikers at the event that Phuket welcomes and fully supports the bikers attending the event and many thanks to everyone supporting and believes that next year will bring many more tourists and resident bikers to join the event same as this year with hopes that during the week of activities Phuket Bike Week and local businesses in Phuket can raise more than 600 million Baht in revenue.

ภูเก็คไบค์วีค 2011 ครั้งที่ 17 เปิดงานสุดอลังการ
วันที่ 9 เมษายน 2554 ในช่วงค่ำมีพิธีเปิดงาน ภูเก็ตไบค์วีค 2011 ครั้งที่ 17 อย่างเป็นทางการ โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก ท่านตรี อัครเดชา ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต ให้เกียรติเป็นประธานเปิดงาน มีคุณเปี่ยน กี่สิ้น นายกเทศมนตรีเมืองป่าตอง กล่าวรายงาน  พร้อมได้รับเกียรติจากแขกผู้มีเกียรติมากมาย อาทิ นายไพบูลย์ อุปัติศฤงษ์ นายกองค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดภูเก็ต, นายชัยรัตน์ สุขบาล  รองนายกเทศมนตรีเทศบาลเมืองป่าตอง, คุณบังอรรัตน์ ชินะประยูร ผู้อำนายการการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย สำนักงาน ภูเก็ต และแขกผู้มีเกียรติอีกจำนวนมากทั้งชาวไทยและต่างประเทศ ร่วมงานเป็นจำนวนมาก

นอกจากนี้ ท่านตรี อัครเดชา ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต ย้ำกับเพื่อนไบเกอร์ที่มาร่วมงานว่า ทางจังหวัดภูเก็ตยินดีและให้ความร่วมมืออย่างเต็มที่กับการจัดกิจกรรมดีๆ ของคนมอเตอร์ไซค์ และขอขอบคุณหลายๆ ฝ่ายที่ให้การสนับสนุน พร้อมเชื่อว่า ปีหน้าจะมีนักท่องเที่ยวและชาวมอเตอร์ไซค์มาร่วมงาน เป็นจำนวนมากเหมือนกับปีนี้ ซึ่งในช่วงสัปดาห์การจัดกิจกรรมภูเก็ตไบค์วีค มั่นใจว่ามีเม็ดเงินสะพัดในจังหวัดภูเก็ตกว่า 600 ล้านบาท
